Location: the guesthouse is situated in Vadu Izei, a traditional region of Romania. Coming from Baia Mare towards Sighetul Marmatiei on the national road, pass the crossroads to Moisei in the centre of the Vadu Izei township and continue for about 300 metres.
About the guesthouse: a beautiful traditional wood house, completely renovated, located in Zavoi (The Wild Park), at the confluence of the Mara and Iza rivers. The interior design elements are carefully and tastefully chosen in order to recreate the ambiance of an authentic Maramures house: carpets, household appliances, pottery. Glass icons have their privileged place and they are painted by the host himself. The
interiors are specially designed for comfort and ambiance, with a well studied play of volumes, while the beams and the wooden pillars inspire quite a unique and discrete atmosphere to this house. The traditionally Maramures style wooden-built house has almost a century of existence. By renovating it and by using the cockloft space, it became a house for distinguished guests. On the ground floor we enter the living room, having a fire place and being traditionally decorated for rest and serving lunch, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom.
Room facilities: guesthouse offers 8 boarding beds in the cockloft, distributed in 4 rooms each having 2 beds, along with two modern bathrooms and the stoop which offers an enchanting relaxing view of the village, the Iza River and the surrounding hills.
Guesthouse facilities: the courtyard is populated with flowers and grass, fruit trees, has a Maramures style rocking chair, a carpet weaving workshop, an icon workshop and show room, all these make up a small piece of heaven located at about 100 metres from the Iza and Mara rivers.
